About me and my therapy practice
Therapy helps you discover and understand your emotions more clearly. Counselling is a journey to support and empower you to find the resources you may need to find your own answers and pathway. Counselling will provide you with a safe space to talk to someone independently, without judgement or criticism and speak about anything openly at your own pace. My experience, training, and holistic approach offers my clients a space to speak openly about what may be troubling them so we can work in a therapeutic mutual relationship to explore any concerns.
I am a registered and accredited therapeutic counsellor of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) working with individuals and couples. I am insured and hold an enhanced DBS certificate for adults and children. My broad practice has involved working in the charity sector, volunteer sector and privately. I have over 6 years’ experience working for a Mental Health charity, I have worked in various schools as a school counsellor, Peer support for a postnatal women’s group, volunteered for a youth agency and domestic violence agency.
I also work with a team of professionals in an independent Clinic that offers complementary therapies and health related services. In my private office space, I have a wide and diverse range of clients from different cultures, heritages, and experiences. I can offer counselling sessions in English, Hindi, and Urdu Language.
Practice description
My aim as a counsellor is building a therapeutic relationship with my clients on mutual trust whilst providing a space where you feel listened, comfortable, and supported whilst we explore together as you find a more fulfilled future. I offer short and long-term therapy depending on the client’s needs. Sessions are usually weekly, in person or online, individual sessions are 50 minutes and couples’ sessions are 75 minutes.
Perhaps you are experiencing stigma, cultural dilemmas, or struggling with Mental Health issues such as depression, anxiety, and isolation. My Mental Health (MHFA) England training and experience offers an unconditional setting where we can work together to support your Mental Health.
My Creative Arts in Counselling course offers the creative tools I use in the counselling room such as genograms, guided imagery, sand trays and body mapping. I find using creative arts works well with a range of my clients and can be beneficial when working with young people. (Face 2 Face only)
A couple may be experiencing a lack of communication, impacts of work, life is deteriorating, and they find it challenging to discuss and resolve between themselves. My Specialist Diploma in Couples Counselling offers my clients the space to work together through these challenges in a confidential space to explore and reflect whilst working through any areas of issues or concerns.
