About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I am a qualified and experienced psychodynamic counsellor, committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental space for individuals seeking support.
I work with adults, children, and young people (11+), offering both long-term and short-term therapy tailored to each client's needs.
Whether you are feeling anxious, depressed, stuck or have unresolved issues from your past that are hindering your sense of peace and well-being, I provide a safe, supportive space to explore your inner world and foster personal growth.
My approach to counselling is rooted in empathy, respect, and a genuine desire to help clients achieve their personal and emotional goals. Creating a safe, supportive, and confidential environment is a cornerstone of my practice. I understand that entering counselling can be a vulnerable experience, and I am committed to providing a space where clients feel comfortable and respected. I approach each session with an open mind and a non-judgmental attitude, allowing clients to express themselves freely and honestly and feel fully heard, valued and understood.
I recognize that everybody's experience is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs and circumstances. I am committed to creating a therapeutic space where you feel in control of your own healing journey. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and you will have the autonomy to decide what topics to explore in our sessions.

Practice description
My approach to counselling is grounded in psychodynamic principles, which recognize the profound impact of the unconscious mind on our current mental well-being. I believe that understanding how early life experiences influence present-day functioning is key to fostering personal growth and lasting change.
In my work, particularly with children and young people, I blend psychodynamic thinking with proactive strategies. This approach helps clients gain deeper self-awareness and equips them with practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. Together, we may explore creative methods to better understand and express feelings, always ensuring that our sessions are collaborative and led by your needs and goals.
In addition to psychodynamic and proactive counselling, I specialize in Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) for those dealing with PTSD. NET is unique in its focus on recognising and creating an account of what happened in your life in a way that serves to recapture your self-respect. This approach has been proven to be effective in the treatment of PTSD, earning a recommendation from the UK National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as a treatment for PTSD and pre-trial therapy.
I also specialize in working with people in recovery from addiction and those who have experienced domestic / sexual violence or abuse. In my practice, I take a trauma-informed approach to counselling, which means that I understand the pervasive impact of trauma and prioritize your safety, choice, and empowerment throughout the therapeutic process.
My first session
It is important that you find a therapist that you feel comfortable with, so I offer a free 20-min initial telephone conversation where I can answer any questions.
The next step is to book a time for an assessment. An assessment provides you with a safe and confidential space to begin to discuss the issues that are troubling you. The assessment also gives us both the opportunity to decide if the approaches I offer are right for you and what approach best suits your needs and circumstances.
From there, we will arrange a day and time to meet weekly for ongoing counselling sessions.
Cost of sessions as follows:
Adult assessment and counselling session - £50 per session.
Child and Young Person's assessment and counselling session - £55 per session.
Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) sessions (Adult):
Initial assessment - £50.
NET session costs = £110.
