About me and my therapy practice
I am a Caring & Compassionate Counsellor. Experienced in grief and loss, anxiety, depression, ADHD and relationship difficulties. I offer a supportive and confidential space to talk things through.
Talking to someone and sharing in confidence without judgement, can be really helpful. At times it can feel hard to ask for support. But reaching out and working through the safety of the therapeutic relationship, we can address difficulties together and understand how life can be more fulfilling for you.
Counselling may appear as a daunting experience. Often, in reality, it can feel very different, like a conversation, where we will talk and explore your difficulties together. At times, there may be tears but also, we may laugh at different things. Knowing you are not alone during these distressing times can be comforting.
Through a friendly, supportive and professional relationship, I will listen to you through your own feelings and thoughts. With no judgement, allowing you to feel accepted, just as you are.
I am qualified and experienced as a Integrative therapist, meaning I am trained in different theories which brings a wealth of knowledge into the therapeutic relationship.
This allows me to tailor your sessions to what you need. Then together we can understand how life can be more fulfilling and experienced as a happier and healthier way of being.
Practice description
My practise is based online via google meet or through the telephone. This offers flexibility when I am able to offer counselling sessions, working in partnership for both you and I.
Counselling is allowing time for ourselves in a safe and confidential environment, which in today’s world can be hard to find. I often think of this time as self-care and a commitment to our inner-self, recharging our mental fitness. Often thoughts, feelings and emotions can become overwhelming and we need support to understand what it is we want. I offer a calm and reflective space where we will always work at your pace and in your time, allowing you to feel heard, understood and accepted.
My background is in Hospice care, including supporting carers and those bereaved from a death of a loved one. Including complex grief, involving sudden or unexpected death.
I have also supported individuals of all ages with various day to day struggles such as but not limited to, grief and loss, work related issues, anxiety, depression, ADHD and neurodivergence.
My first session
I offer a free consultation, where we can have the opportunity to speak to each other and discuss any questions you might have and how we could work together. Please email or text me to book.
Counselling sessions are then offered online or through the telephone.
Future sessions are 60 minutes in length.
The cost of each session is £50.00. Payable through bank transfer 24 hours before commencement of the session.
