About me and my therapy practice
My clients have described me as sincere, non judgemental and having been there for them in times of need.
I aim to provide all my clients with the same level of therapeutic relationship and feel that my conversational approach has helped form a strong foundation of trust and security.
Through our work together I will help you work against all the past words that have been laid upon you, that may have crushed your confidence and stolen your wholesome self. My promise to you, is to help you challenge everything you have been conditioned and wired to think that you are "supposed to" do, feel, be or even how society feels that you should look like or even weigh. To work all the hours that you can to prove you are worthy, when inside you just feel like screaming "stop the world I want to get off", is something I know all too well.
It's time to discover what "YOU" feel you should do, feel like or look like instead.
Practice description
I’m Lorraine, a warm and relational counsellor offering a safe, compassionate space for clients to explore their challenges. Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, relationship issues, disordered eating, or life as a neurodivergent individual, I tailor therapy to your unique needs and experiences.
For those struggling with disordered eating, I provide a gentle, non-judgmental approach, helping you explore emotions, habits, and triggers while building self-compassion and acceptance. If you’re neurodivergent, I support you in understanding your sensory needs, processing styles, and how the world impacts you, working together to create strategies that empower and support you.
I believe in showing up as my authentic self, fostering trust and understanding so we can work as a team. I help clients challenge limiting beliefs, move beyond societal expectations, and focus on what truly feels right for them.
As a neuro-inclusive therapist, I work with clients who are neurodivergent, including those with ADHD and autism, ensuring therapy feels safe, supportive, and tailored to their needs. I also specialize in helping individuals navigate binge eating and emotional eating, untangling feelings, and fostering a more compassionate relationship with themselves and their bodies.
My lived experience with chronic pain, disordered eating, and low mood deepens my empathy and understanding. My goal is to support you in becoming your best self—free from pressure to conform or compete, confident in your choices, and empowered to live unapologetically as you are.
