About me and my therapy practice

Are you struggling right now? Do you have feelings of not 'good enough’, like something is missing, or life is becoming difficult to navigate?  Maybe certain situations feel overwhelming or you are in crisis. Perhaps you have have experienced a relationship loss, difficulty in relationships, are grieving, or wondering 'how did I end up here?' and 'who am I?'

Well done for taking the difficult first step, and thank you for considering using my service.

Through working together, I will hear you and listen to your story without judgement, offer perspective, and help you to get to know and understand yourself. Work on patterns of behaviour and self esteem which can lead to better self worth, life changes, and meaningful connection.

I want to help you become more engaged with the present, and make plans and goals for the future.

Practice description

I came to the profession by sitting in the client’s chair myself, through my own journey of healing and self-awareness. I know how daunting making that first step can feel. But I believe in the power of a supportive, warm and nurturing environment so much, that I would like to offer the same to you.

I am Integratively trained which means I incorporate Psychodynamic, Humanistic and Cognitive theories into my work with you. I would say my specialisms are difficult relationships with partners or family members, historic abuse and working with attachment styles.

The impact of our childhood experiences can affect our adult relationships and how we view ourselves in the here and now. An abusive or neglectful childhood can lead to anxiety, depression, overwhelm, relationship difficulties, feelings of grief and pain in the present.

As well as a private practice, I have experience working for mental health and eating disorder charities, and also working in a university setting with students.

I offer in-person appointments (I do not offer online at this time). The therapy space is located in central Norwich close to the Cathedral.

Contact me for no obligation £25 first session.
