About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Wendy and I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
If you are reading my profile, the chances are that you or someone dear to you is experiencing difficulties in their life where they feel talking to someone impartial, in a safe and confidential space, could be just the support they need. Perhaps you are experiencing relationship problems, struggling with bereavement, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem or a previous trauma that has left you feeling helpless and stuck.
I follow a humanistic approach to my integrative therapy; creating a therapeutic space where you and your issues are accepted in a warm, accepting, non-judgemental and empathic way. It is through this that a trusting relationship can be built, allowing you to open up and explore your issues and emotions in a safe and confidential environment. Humanistic therapeutic models used within my work include into psychotherapy, CBT, mindfulness and Gestalt. At the client’s request, I will also facilitate gentle challenge, in order for you to acknowledge and reframe ongoing behavioural patterns which may be hindering you on either an individual or relational level.
Finding the right therapist is essential to your progress, so please call me for an initial fee-free 20-minute chat, during which we can discuss your needs and hopes. Should we feel we have the basis for a good working relationship, we can then arrange a full session, either face-to-face, telephone, online or ecotherapy (walk and talk therapy), depending on your own personal needs and circumstances.
I look forward to hearing from you.
