About me and my therapy practice
I offer a safe, supportive and confidential space to bring any concerns that you wish. As we have all felt lost, alone or unheard at some point in our lives, I think that everyone can benefit from counselling.
In the therapy room I hold the space for you to share your story and to share what the world looks like for you. It’s a confidential, non-judgemental space for you to explore the things that you want to.
Practice description
I believe that no two clients are the same and so I take an integrative approach.
This means that I have a range of different tools, which can be combined and used depending on what is best for each client. I may use warm person centred techniques to allow you to share your thoughts and feelings, and so relax into yourself. On other occasions, I might take a more pyschodynamic approach helping you become aware of how past situations or events may still be influencing your behaviours today, giving you new options for tomorrow.
My first session
I offer a free 20minute introductory call (usually on Zoom). This allows for you to ask any questions, for me to share a bit more of how I work and for us to decide if we want to start working together. There is no obligations if you wish to have an inital call.
In the first 50 minute session we will go through our therapy agreement and there will be a few questionnaires that we will fill in together. This will help me to get to know you a bit better and give us a chance to set some aims and goals for our work.
From then on the sessions will be led by you and what you wish to bring to explore. There will be regualar reviews of our work together.
