About me and my therapy practice

Coming to therapy might be a very scary and daunting thing to do, you may feel like you ‘shouldn’t’ need therapy. I understand this and I want you to know that you are not alone, from your first steps I will be with you.

I can provide a compassionate environment so that you can feel, talk about and reflect on, your own emotional processes. Having gained understanding about yourself and felt your emotions, you will increasingly have the space to reflect and make choices. If you are suffering and feel unsure of how to change this, I invite you to contact me and take the first step towards change and self -acceptance.

I can provide a compassionate environment so that you can feel, talk about and reflect on, your own emotional processes. Having gained understanding about yourself and felt your emotions, you will increasingly have the space to reflect and make choices. From this can come a greater sense of autonomy and a feeling of being more in charge.

I am experienced at working with emotional difficulties such as depression, anxiety, anger, body dysmorphia, fear, trauma, loss, unexpected health diagnosis, self-criticism, worthlessness, numbness and PTSS (Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome).

If you are feeling any or all of these, I encourage you to find a supportive and ‘open’ space. This can help you to improve your mood, understand your struggles, explore your feelings and be able to accept yourself more.

Practice description

I have a welcoming presence and a caring approach. I offer a confidential space where you can feel understood, held and supported. This will help you to gain a context for your feelings, to know more about yourself and to move forward in a way that you choose.

I want you to feel safe so that you can explore and move forward in your life. Whatever your life circumstances are I will welcome and support you.

I am an Integrative therapist. This means I use a range of techniques depending on what you are bringing. Overall I work relationally, which means that our relationship is at the centre of our work together. If it is useful for you I will offer techniques and tools from Transactional Analysis, Gestalt therapy, body based therapy, sand tray work and Imagery work.

My first session

I offer a 15-minute free telephone call. This provides an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have and it will also help us establish if the way I work is right for you.

In addition, I will talk about my Confidentiality policy, Data Protection policy, how to book, pay for and cancel a session.

Following this there is no obligation to enter into therapy with me.
