About me and my therapy practice
I'm a qualified adult Psychotherapist, offering short and long-term therapy from peaceful rooms in West London. I provide a free 30-minute telephone consultation to determine if we are a good match.
Qualifications & Experience: I hold an MSc in Humanistic Psychotherapy with additional training in Mindfulness and Focusing - these are techniques which can enhance your therapeutic progress. I work with adults facing a range of difficulties including trauma, anxiety, depression, family and work stress and neurodivergencies such as ASD or ADHD. I am experienced in addressing issues related to faith, spirituality and existential concerns.
Before becoming a therapist, I earned a degree in Sociology and Social Policy from Royal Holloway, University of London and worked in the arts and television broadcasting. I am a Trustee of the Mindfulness Network and a community therapy volunteer.
How Therapy Helps: Counselling provides support through reflective listening to help you work through difficulties. Psychotherapy integrates this skilful listening with the managing of therapeutic processes designed to evoke more profound transformations and deeper healing. I use 'Focusing,' developed by Eugene Gendlin, to access inner wisdom through awareness of bodily sensations which enhance self-awareness and facilitate positive change.
Outcomes: As well as addressing your initial reasons for seeking therapy, the process should also reduce your distress, improve your communication and enhance your awareness and self-compassion.
