About me and my therapy practice

Life can feel uncertain and unpredictable sometimes. Relationships and experiences from both your past and your present can leave you feeling anxious, depressed or simply overwhelmed.

Counselling can help you to make sense of these feelings. It can offer you the opportunity to reflect upon the place you have reached- away from the 'noise' and competing demands of everyday life.

I believe we all have the inner resources to thrive (and not just survive) and counselling can be the vehicle to tap into this potential. By offering a protected, non-judgemental space to explore your thoughts and feelings, I can help you to;-

  • Untangle your feelings.
  • Feel more accepting of who you are and have the confidence to ask and expect things for yourself.
  • Have a better understanding of why you may have responded to things in a certain way in the past and develop new perspectives and approaches.
  • Understand your patterns of relating and improve your relationship with yourself and others.
  • Feel more resilient and develop a 'toolkit' of coping strategies.

Practice description

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). My work draws on a variety of counselling approaches which enables me to tailor my approach to your individual needs. I will work with you at a pace that suits you and my approach is grounded in respect, empathy and compassion.

I offer both face to face and online counselling sessions.

My face to face practice is based at The Eaves Counselling and Psychology Practice in Guildford where I am available every Tuesday (9a.m-1pm) and Wednesday (1pm-5pm). Please contact me to discuss availability.

If you are interested in online counselling my availability is more flexible. Please also contact me to discuss availability.

My first session

I recognise that reaching out can feel daunting. I also appreciate that coming to counselling is a big commitment- both in terms of time and finances. You want to feel sure it is with the right person.

I therefore offer a free initial 30 minute telephone call so you can get a feel for how we might work together and if you feel we might be a good fit.

Our first session will be an opportunity to explore more fully what you would like to achieve from counselling. Understanding your goals will help us to plan our work together to ensure that it is most beneficial for you. Counselling is a personal investment- rich in opportunity for reflection and growth. By listening carefully to your needs in our first session I can offer an approach which will be responsive to your unique circumstances.
