About me and my therapy practice
Life can often bring unexpected circumstances which can leave us feeling overwhelmed and confused with the current challenges we are facing, counselling creates a space where you can explore any areas in your life that are holding you back, or negatively impacting on your relationships, work life, family life, or view of yourself.
I offer person centered therapy at a pace which is most comfortable for you. Sessions are led by you and our work together is held in a confidential and nurturing environment. I use a sensitive approach, gently challenging any areas that you may feel stuck with.
If talking is something you may find difficult I can offer creative methods of working, with your consent to tailor our work to suit your needs, if it feels that this may be of benefit to you. No creative skills are needed for this approach, just a willingness to be explorative and open to a more intuitive and experimental way of working.
Practice description
My role is to facilitate your journey, offering a warm empathic environment in which you are able to find some clarification, acceptance and move forward with your life, whilst I do not offer advice, our work together is grounded in creating the safety and trust in which you feel empowered to find your own inner resources to guide you forward.
I have a particular interest in working with loss and bereavement, whilst also having experience of working with relationship issues, anger, anxiety, depression, suicide ideation, self harm, chronic health conditions and neurodiversity.
Sessions can be face to face, telephone or online which can be suited to your individual requirements
.
My first session
Initial introductory 30 minute session available at a cost of £20. This session will cover a brief assessment and a chance for you to ask me any questions you may have about how we may work together.
First sessions include an initial assessment which allows us both to mutually make an informed honest decision on our ability to work together safely and effectively. This is completed together and allows us to discuss and clarify your reasons for seeking counselling.
