About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes life can become difficult and overwhelming, or it feels like something needs to change and you are finding it difficult to deal with these things by yourself. Therapy gives you a space to talk about your experiences with someone who is impartial and has no judgements about you or your life. I offer you a calm space in which to do this and will welcome you with warmth and understanding.
The experiences we have throughout childhood have a long-lasting effect on how we see the world and how we have experienced it. Together we can explore how these experiences have affected your life and relationships to understand and make sense of them. Working with your inner child offers deeper understanding about yourself, enabling you to reframe, make changes in your life and start to heal from your past.
Practice description
I’m an Integrative Therapist, meaning that I’ve trained in several types of therapy. I use these tools in my practice so that I’m more responsive to your needs, and together we can explore the best way of working together.
My foundations are firmly set within Person Centred and Humanistic Therapy. I believe that you’re the expert on yourself and I will walk alongside you - offering you empathy, a calm, relaxed, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to share the issues you are facing.
I offer face to face and online/telephone therapy over both short-term and long-term.
My first session
Our relationship is the most important part of the therapeutic process, building trust is at the core of successful therapy, so it’s important that you feel comfortable and safe enough to share your experiences with me. Therefore, I offer a free 15-minute initial phone call which will help us both to decide whether we are a good fit to work together.
