 --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello,

I offer counselling sessions for individuals over the age of 12 years old and NOT for couples.

Sessions can be conducted either, face-to-face or online (via Microsoft Teams).

About me and my therapy practice

Hello, thank you for taking the time to read my profile.

My name is Lynda Chebbihi, and I am a qualified Applied Psychologist and Psychotherapist specialised in trauma (inclulding childhood trauma).

I offer a safe and confidential space to make you feel at ease, so that we can work together collaboratively. We then explore together any associated posttraumatic symptoms, suicidal thoughts, relationship issues, stress and anxiety you are experiencing. With the ultimate therapeutic goal of helping you to become more congruent and  living a healthier life.

I have developed significant experience working with individuals who experienced traumatic events (war, sexual/physical abuse, domestic abuse, natural disasters, COVID-19 etc) through my professional and volunteering work with NHS and charity organisations.

I am a registered member of the BACP (396396), and I comply with their Ethical Framework for Good Practice (which you can find in the BACP website).

Practice description

My practice is framed within humanistic Rogerian person-centred approach which fundamentally believes that everyone has an inner ability to grow and thrive. Trusting your own process will help you find your inner resources and strengths to build awareness and make sense and new meanings to your life that are better aligned with your authentic self.

I can offer counselling session either in English, French, or in Arabic (North Africa).

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need further information.

My first session

All my counselling sessions last 50 minutes in duration.

Each session costs 50 GBP regardless whether therapy is conducted online or in-person.

For students and unwaged individuals, the fee is 30 GBP per session.

Ideally, we will meet on a weekly basis (unless agreed otherwise) at a date and time that suit you. You are free to stop at any time and terminate the counselling agreement, whether therapy is open-ended or time limited (up to 6 sessions). However, I recommend to have a last session to acknowledge the work we have done together.
