If you would like to message me, please send me an email or a WhatsApp/text message as I am unable to take direct calls most of the time. I aim to respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday). About me and my therapy practice

Are you struggling with anxiety or feeling overwhelmed? Are you managing to function, but struggling to cope?

Has something happened that has prompted you to reconsider who you are and what is important, or perhaps who somebody else is? Do you feel lost or lonely, or perhaps you begin to recognize traits of neurodivergence and want to make sense of things?

Perhaps I can help. I specialize in helping people who are struggling with feelings of anxiety or depression, those who are experiencing difficulties in relationships (partners, family, friends, colleagues or even the relationship with yourself) and those who might be anywhere on a journey with neurodivergence.

I offer a compassionate sanctuary with the possibility to explore and untangle the complexities of your emotions and thoughts. We all need support sometimes. I can offer you a shelter, as well as an opportunity to grow and understand yourself more fully. This can result in changes in how you feel, and how you behave, leading to changes in your relationships, as well as changes in decisions you might make and the capacity to live a more fulfilled life through gaining a clearer perspective.

Practice description

I am a qualified humanistic-integrative counsellor with a BSc Psychology and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling. This means my approach is flexible and collaborative, and I may draw from various theories and models to tailor my approach to you.

I am warm and compassionate and believe that an empathic, therapeutic relationship can be healing in its own right. I work with integrity and non-judgement, and I value each person as a unique individual.

It can be helpful to be able to share freely, with the assurance of confidentiality, with someone who is distinct and separate from your life and your relationships. I welcome all parts of you, and I will be curious to understand more about you and how you experience your world.

My first session

Choosing to work with a counsellor can be a difficult decision, therefore, I offer a free initial 20 minute phone call for you to ask any questions and as an opportunity for us to get to know each other a little and decide if we might be a good fit for working together. If you have any questions or feel you might want to see what it would be like to work together, I would be delighted to hear from you.

Following this, I will ask you to complete some paper work and our first 50 minute session will be an opportunity to establish what might be helpful for you. I generally work with weekly sessions at first, though I appreciate that everyone is an individual with different needs and constraints, and I can also offer flexibility regarding frequency and timing of sessions.

ADD / ADHD, Addictions, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Cancer, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Cultural issues, Depression, Disability, Health related issues, Identity issues, LGBTQ+ counselling, Loss, Menopause, Mood disorder, Neurodiversity, Personal development, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Sexual identity, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
