About me and my therapy practice

I am a psychotherapist offering in-person psychotherapy and counselling in West London, and online via Zoom. I hold a Master's degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, and have experience working in private practice, for the NHS and in the charity sector.

I am an integrative/relational therapist. It means that I am trained in variety of psychotherapeutic approaches - humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioural. It allows me to help clients according to their unique needs. I believe that human behaviour is best understood by looking at the whole person individually, and there is no one method which holds an answer. Most importantly I emphasise building a human connection, where a deep level of attunement and trust is established.

Reaching out for therapy is a courageous act. It can mean that you feel anxious, lost, burned out, ‘not enough’… We all have our unique stories, and I would be privileged to hear yours. Therapy could help to reframe the way you think, feel, or behave. I see therapeutic change as the process of bringing into awareness, exploring, understanding, and most importantly accepting different aspects of the self. This way life can be lived more authentically, meaningfully, and creatively. At the foundation of my work lies a mindful and compassionate inquiry into relationships we have with ourselves and with others. I have interest in how these relational challenges stem from early experiences.

I provide an empathetic, non-discriminatory, and attentive environment for you to share whatever it is that's on your mind. I believe in healing power of being truly seen, heard, and understood and as a therapist I intend to facilitate it. Our work will be collaborative with a full respect of your autonomy. My clients matter to me deeply and I am passionate about what I do.

Practice description

About me:

Over the years I gained experience as a therapist within the NHS and charity setting, where I supported range of diverse clients of different backgrounds, age groups and presentations.

For 9 years I worked at a school for children and young people with autism. My role there as a Teacher and Yoga/Mindfulness Facilitator was a part of the Occupational Therapy programme and reached out to students, teachers, and parents supporting them in difficult times.

The holistic approach of yoga and meditation enriched my life and therapeutic practice. It helps me to be truly present with my clients. I also believe that the mind/body connection is an inherent part of our wellbeing and needs to be tended to.

In search of my own meaning I studied Literature and Arts as for me they both hold a powerful therapeutic potential.

I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a fully insured private practitioner.

I accept insurance: Aviva, AXA, Vitality.

My first session

It is crucial that you feel comfortable with your therapist therefore before we book a first session together, I invite you to arrange a short phone with me. This will also allow us to have an initial assessment, discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, and whether I am the right therapist to help.

During the first session I will explore with you why you are seeking therapy and what goals you would like us to work towards.

I may ask you questions relating to your childhood, past experiences and significant relationships. Above everything I will offer a warm and containing space for you to tell me anything you need to.
