About me and my therapy practice
Life isn’t always how we pictured it and it can be scary to realise that you feel overwhelmed. It might be that you feel you’ve lost touch with who you really are. Maybe you feel alone in how you’re feeling or struggle to get through each day. I believe that talking things through with someone is the best way to find a way back to you.
My name’s Beth and I offer a safe, confidential and compassionate space to talk through what’s going on for you. I work to empower you and hear your story, not to give you advice. I would love the opportunity to work together on what your emotions are trying to tell you, and get back to the blueprint of who you are.
The key to any counselling work is our relationship. It’s one of trust and respect and together we can figure out what your emotions are telling you.
I’ve worked in business, charities and I’m also a mum, so I understand the pressures that life can bring. I believe counselling is a healing process that can help you to reconnect with your values.
Practice description
Counselling can feel daunting if you've not done it before, but I will always go at your pace to ensure you feel comfortable and safe. I'm able to be as flexible as possible to accommodate what you feel you need to be able to explore your feelings.
I'm able to bring creativity into our sessions, to explore things in a different way if that works for you. There is no set way our therapy has to look! My role is to gently facilitate you discovering more about who you are and want to be. I will always keep your aims for counselling at the centre of the work we do together.
I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds, and offer either online or face to face counselling. I have a particular interest in parents of under 5s and postnatal clients (both men and women) but work with a variety of issues. If you feel we would work well together, then please get in touch.
My first session
I offer a 20 minute initial conversation over the phone, to answer any questions you might have, discover what you'd like from counselling and if I'm the right fit.
In our first session we'll go through some of the paperwork and the assessment form. Most importantly, we'll get to know each other and start the process of telling your story.
I offer either short term or longer term therapy, so we can work together on how this looks for you.
