About me and my therapy practice
My name is Ade, I am a qualified integrative therapist and counsellor, I draw from different perspectives and theories to help my clients process their emotions and discover their true selves. My way of working explores the root causes of patterns, feelings and behaviours, and allows you to create your own meaning.
I offer a non-judgmental and safe space where you can be open to exploring your thoughts and feelings. I am committed to the therapeutic process and helping you on your journey, to discover more about yourself and to work through any difficult issue you present.
My journey inward through personal therapy and my training allowed me to engage with aspects of myself that had long been forgotten, repressed and often dismissed. I understand that life can be difficult sometimes, and it is important to feel supported when you feel as though you cannot cope.
Practice description
“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” — Carl JungThe journey to self-discovery begins with self-awareness, bringing to the surface what lies in the unconscious, represented through patterns, thoughts, behaviours and ways of living. My role is to help you engage with these aspects of your life in order to connect with your authentic self and find meaning and fulfilment.
Perhaps you are struggling with anxiety and depression, imposter syndrome, childhood trauma and shame, toxic relationships, or whatever it may be. I have experience working with different individuals from different backgrounds and dealing with a variety of challenges including the aforementioned.
I work in a holistic way, bringing together the different aspects of the self, the fragmented, the petrified, the traumatised self, and all the others, body, spirit and mind. I use somatic and trauma-informed interventions, depending on what you might need.
So that you have a feel of my practice, the following are some of my continuing professional development (CPD) training:
- Healing Imposter Syndrome
- Working with Shame
- Refining Relational Attunement
- Dissociation and Crying
- Compassion in Therapy
- Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults
- Psychological Trauma and Neuroscience
- Understanding Anxiety
- Understanding Depression
