Practice description
Choose between Open-ended therapy or Short-term therapy:
Open-ended therapy:
You might have clear ideas of the areas you want to explore, or you might feel there is no single issue, but rather a sense that things could be better. You don't have to be in crisis to begin therapy, but you might be. Together we can go at your pace over time to explore any issues, including:
Gaining a greater understanding of yourself
- Gaining a greater understanding of how you behave in relationships
- What triggers you and why?
- Managing triggers so you can make the most out of relationships and situations moving forwards
- What you want from life
- Establishing boundaries whilst respecting others
- Old hurts and the effects of the parenting you received – how this impacts you in the present and what you would like to change
- Your dreams, goals, ambitions, reaching your potential
- Your self-concept and identity
- Negative self-talk
- Anxiety or depression
- External influences – social media, familial, cultural, religious and messages you have received about yourself from others
- What gives your life meaning
- Your spirituality or faith and how it impacts your life
Short-term therapy
12 sessions which are goal-oriented and focussed on a couple of themes to help you go out into the world with new ways of thinking about yourself and interacting with others to get maximum impact.
A combination of face to face, online and telephone therapy:
Therapy should be flexible to fit in with your lifestyle, so don’t worry if your life means that meeting face to face is tricky.
You are welcome to select the method which suits you best, and can blend face to face, online and telephone sessions in a way that works for you.
Keeping you safe:
As a registered member of the BACP and I abide by their ethical framework and undergo regular clinical supervision.
Where I practice:
I am the Resident Counsellor at 152 Harley Street and also have a private practice in Fulham, near Putney Bridge.
You are welcome to come and see me at either location.
My first session
What happens next?
Arrange your complimentary 15 minute call:
It’s easy – simply get in touch to book your initial complimentary chat on the phone about your situation so that we can decide if and how therapy can help you and book a time for your first session. There is no charge for this.
Our First Session:
Our first session is about getting to know each other and finding out what you need from your therapy.
There will be a couple of forms to give us a benchmark of your starting point which will be useful to refer back to as we assess your progress.
We will carry out an assessment together to work out what your goals are and how many sessions you will need and we will reflect this in a simple contract.
What do I need to bring?
Quite simply, a willingness to be yourself, and a commitment to being as open as possible so that you can make the most out of this unique opportunity to explore feelings and thoughts that you might never get the time or space to look at.
We can take it from there - That's it!
