Individual therapy sessions are priced at £60 and Couples Therapy sessions are £80. I work online using a variety of online platforms Mon to Fri.
All sessions are pre booked online, so you get to choose appointments at a day and a time that suits you. I will send you the link to be able to do this - just ask.
I check in on messages after 6pm each day, so please be patient if I don't respond to you immediately.
Please note that missed sessions or those cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are fully chargeable. A fee applies for all sessions that we have agreed to have. There is no charge for sessions cancelled prior to the 24 hour deadline.
About me and my therapy practice
"Why do we always end up in the same arguments?", "Why do I end up feeling dismissed whenever I try to talk about my feelings?" "We’ve been together for years, but just lately I’ve started to wonder whether we really want to spend the rest of our lives together,” “Is it normal to go off sex after a while?” - These are common problems I hear at the start of many couples’ counselling journeys.
If you feel stuck or are not sure about the next step (in life or in your relationship) therapy is a great place to look at the difficult stuff with the support of an impartial and qualified professional.
My style is warm and approachable - I'll offer you a space where to talk freely and a fresh point of view.
When appropriate, I'll suggest practical exercises to challenge and improve coping strategies or communication styles.
Let's talk about how we could work together (email is the best way to communicate with me).
I am a fully qualified couple therapist, with an MA Degree, a Doctorate and a Diploma in Psychodynamic Therapeutic Counselling and Relationship Therapy. I work with both individual adult clients and also with couples.
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), meaning that I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. This guides my counselling work, ensuring that I operate safely and ethically. I am fully insured and hold a full public liability insurance and an up-to-date Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Practice description
I offer weekly therapy sessions online or on the phone. Each session is 50 minutes long.
Some clients have just a few sessions, others choose longer term support.
I work with couples looking for relationship counselling and also work with individual clients.
My approach is systemic and psychodynamic, meaning that I am able to work both in the 'here and now' to problem solve issues in couple relationships, but also to help individuals look more deeply, looking at unconscious processes and how the past may be continuing to shape the present.
My first session
Once you make the decision to seek support, I will set up an initial 15 min Zoom for us to meet and discuss what you are looking for.
At our first session, we will have an initial conversation about what brings you to counselling and if we decide to meet, our first session will be an opportunity for us to see if we feel we can work together.
During our first session, I will ask questions to understand the problem. You will have a chance to ask me any questions you may have about the process. I will take some personal details, explain confidentiality and we will have the opportunity to see if we feel we can work together.
