About me and my therapy practice

Providing a safe and non-judgmental space, time in which you can talk in confidence. Whether it be that you are feeling anxious, sad, low or have been/are diagnosed with an additional need or learning disability we will, together, find an approach within counselling that feels comfortable for you and supports you through.

Whether you are creative or thrive in the art of communication I provide different materials in which we can explore together to help interact and communicate your true thoughts and feelings.

I have worked within the Special Educational needs setting for the past 9 years and believe that the skills I have learnt hear and those from my counselling qualification, often to hand in hand to help provide an inclusive space for all to be able to share how they are feeling.

Please find more of my information over on my website:

Qualified in 2021 therapeutic counselling offering 1:1 person centred talking therapy. I follow the BACP guidelines and am a member of the holistic therapy insurance.

Practice description

Since then I have gained many hours experience with children and young people ranging from the ages of 8-25 years old.

Before I began my journey into counselling, I worked as a Teaching Assistant within a local special needs school, I then worked my way up to senior support and then was able to experience some time as an unqualified teacher for just over a year.

I left for a short while to pursue my counselling qualification, but have since returned to begin work as an individual needs support working 1:1 with a number of students. I have strong community links and also have a lot of experience working within multi agency teams and work alongside CAMHS.

Due to this experience I can bring my skills and knowledge of the special educational needs sector and those with special needs to support those individuals and their families.

My first session

Phone call (20 minutes) is available for a discussion before face to face or online sessions start. These are free of charge.

I offer a first introductory session which can range from 45-60 minutes for £45 which allows the opportunity for us to discuss what you would like from counselling, what you feel you understand about counselling and also build upon what you would like from me as a counsellor.
