About me and my therapy practice
Hello,
I am an integrative counsellor, holding an MSc in therapeutic counselling and a BSc in psychology. I work in a collaborative way with clients, looking to offer a safe and judgement-free space and a quality of relationship that enables us to explore the challenges and difficulties being experienced.
My approach is based around an integrative framework, which means I utilise different modalities to help inform my work in a way appropriate to your individual needs. My integrative work is informed by psychodynamic, person-centred, existential, transactional analysis and cognitive behavioural modalities. Additionally, where appropriate, I will use visualisation techniques to help process difficult experiences.
I have a particular interest in subjectivity and meaning, having observed through my practice how, at one-point adaptive, meanings can become difficult and limiting.
I work with adults of all ages and am experienced working with clients from diverse backgrounds and with varied challenges.
If you have any questions, please do feel free to get in touch.
My first session
In the first session we will talk about your goals for counselling and take a short case history. If, after our initial session, we feel we will be able to work together we will formalise our continued work.
As the first session is in part to get a sense of how well we can work together, I offer this at half price. To allow us to talk, discuss your history and for me to answer any questions that may arise I like to allow up to 75 minutes for this session.
Types of therapy
Existential, Humanistic, Person centred, Psychodynamic, Transactional analysis
Clients I work with
Adults, Older adults, Trainees
