About me and my therapy practice
I would be happy to support you as you embark on a journey of self discovery and supporting you whilst we work through past and present issues. I hold a masters in integrative counselling and psychotherapy and trained in family and systemic therapy. I have successfully worked with clients from various backgrounds, from professionals, business owners, students, entertainers, medical professionals, couples, families, unemployed, abled and disabled and everyone in between.
I work with individuals, couples and families struggling with life and work difficulties, anxiety, anger, relationship and family difficulties, heath, infidelity, depression, bereavement, identity issues, finding meaning, perinatal issues and career direction. My integrative practice enables me to adapt my approach to your unique needs.

Practice description
As a professional that has worked in clinical, public and private settings for over 10 years, I recognise the importance of tailoring my style to suit the needs of my service user.
I work within the NHS within a mental health hospital where I deliver psychotherapy and counselling skills for service users in mental health crisis.
I have worked in a perinatal unit, with couples that are due to give birth, given birth or post birth and working through the transition of a newborn and the impact.
Additionally, I have experience working as a Macmillan psychotherapist, as a specialist psychotherapist working with individuals who have or are experiencing cancer. This includes delivering therapy to family members or carers.
As a qualified therapeutic radiographer (specialist in treating cancer), I understand the different stages of the cancer journey. From diagnosis, treatment, side effects and the "what next stage". Therefore, I welcome family, friends and survivors who have undergone or going through the cancer journey.
I appreciate the difficulties of being a student and welcome all students to speak freely of their challenges.
I am an author and international speaker of domestic and sexual abuse, which I am extremely passionate about.
I class my practice as relational and tailor my integrative model of CBT, psychodynamic and person-centred to your needs.
The first step is to contact me outlining a little your reasons for therapy via email. After which, we will have an initial session. If we decide to work together we will normally agree to weekly sessions. Alternatively, we can work one week at a time.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity to build a therapeutic relationship. We will explore what has brought you to therapy, complete a short clinical assessment, and identify some of your history and any questions you have about me and the process. At the end of the session we should both have the information we need to decide whether we are a good fit to continue working together.
