About me and my therapy practice
My practice specialises in trauma-informed therapy, combining evidence-based psychological care with the healing power of nature. Offering compassionate, personalized support for individuals aged 17 and over who are facing challenges like trauma, anxiety, or stress. My holistic approach integrates traditional therapy with nature-based practices, helping you reconnect with yourself and the natural world.
My Services

I offer flexible therapy options, including in-person, virtual, and outdoor sessions, so you can choose what suits your needs. Practice description
I provide a safe, compassionate, and trauma-informed space where you can begin your healing journey. When you come to me for support, you can expect to be met with empathy, respect, and a personalized approach tailored to your unique needs.
From your first session, i prioritize creating a comfortable, non-judgmental environment. My counsellors will take the time to listen and understand your story without rushing you. I know that discussing trauma, anxiety, or mental health challenges can be difficult, and my goal is to make you feel as safe as possible from the start.
Trauma-Informed Care
My practice is deeply rooted in trauma-informed principles. This means i focus on emotional safety, trust, and empowerment throughout the therapeutic process. I understand that trauma affects everyone differently, and i am committed to working at a pace that feels right for you. You’ll be in control of your healing process, and my counsellors will guide and support you every step of the way.
I integrate nature into my therapeutic work, offering sessions that may take place outdoors, incorporating the calming effects of natural environments. Whether through guided nature walks, mindfulness in nature, or simply sitting in a tranquil setting, my eco-therapy practices help you reconnect with the environment, which can reduce stress and promote healing.
Integrative Therapy
I use a blend of therapeutic techniques tailored to your specific needs, combining cognitive-behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, DBT, ACT and other evidence-based methods. This integrative approach ensures that your therapy is not one-size-fits-all, but instead designed to address your individual concerns and goals.
Respect Beyond Labels
I see you as a whole person—not defined by labels, diagnoses, or a set of symptoms. My goal is to meet you where you are, offering support that honors your personal experiences and fosters growth and healing on your terms.
My first session
In your first session you may find that i talk a lot more than usual, this is due to the need to run over the counselling agreement to ensure you both understand what is expected during the counselling sessions.
You will have the opportunity to ask any questions and even add into the agreement anything you feel is missing. Remember, I am here for you, so please do ask anything that may be on your mind.
I may then complete some mood questionnaires such as the PHQ9 and the CORE10. These are often great ice breakers if you're a little nervous, but they are also good for checking in with how you are when you start vs when you finish. This depends on the counsellor and is not required so if you're not comfortable you do not have to.
I will ask you about the experiences that have brought you to counselling. This is a great opportunity for you to talk and express your feelings, uninterrupted for the rest of your session as your counsellor will listen. If there is time i will ask you questions about your experience and potentially introduce some tools that may be useful for you.
