About me and my therapy practice
Therapy can be a powerful tool for dealing with life’s challenges, working through difficult emotions and exploring what matters most to you. I have experience supporting people with a range of challenges, and always aim to create a friendly and confidential space for my clients to openly explore their thoughts and feelings. Some issues I commonly work with include a lack of direction and purpose, confidence and self-esteem issues, relationship or family difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma, unhelpful thoughts and behaviour patterns and challenges relating to social identities.
As an integrative therapist, I am trained in a range of evidence-based approaches. This means that I can bring different perspectives and tools to the conversation, but most importantly, I aim to create a nurturing space for self-discovery.
I incorporate a diverse range of therapeutic models in my approach, which helps me to tailer to your unique therapeutic process. First and foremost, I use a Person-centred approach to create a non-judgmental and collaborative therapeutic relationship with my clients. I also use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help clients challenge unhelpful patterns of thinking, and Psychodynamic Therapy to explore how clients’ early experiences influence their current ways of relating and behaving. Finally, I draw on Existential therapy to help clients in the process of accepting things outside of their control, connecting to the universal experience and cultivating meaning in their lives
