Practice description
You may feel alone and isolated with your feelings leading to anxiety and depression with no one to listen or talk to. I offer you a confidential space to explore how you feel and support you to work through difficult emotions and painful life experiences.
I am a CPCAB qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. I began my counselling training journey after working for the NHS, where I experienced first hand the challenges in relation to mental health awareness and support. I felt inspired to expand and deepen my knowledge about mental health and provide support to those who want to explore their difficulties and make a positive impact and change for themselves.
I believe we are all unique individuals and experience the impact of life and its challenges in varying ways. I feel it's important to offer my clients a counselling environment that facilitates safety and confidentiality, along with empathy, warmth, and a place to be heard, enabling my clients to feel comfortable and at ease.
My core approach in counselling is Person-Centred, my clients are at the centre and heart of the therapeutic process. I draw upon Transactional Analysis, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) theories to inform how I work. I have also completed additional training in trauma-informed counselling. Working in this way allows me to adapt my approach to individual needs, promoting a holistic experience for my clients.
I have clinical experience of working with clients who are experiencing negative thoughts, low mood, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and confidence issues. I have supported clients to improve relations through sharing relationship and communication theory and tools.
I volunteered for a local Bucks charity providing counselling to survivors of sexual assault, sexual abuse, and domestic violence. I have facilitated psychoeducation sessions to help clients understand their own responses to trauma, improving stabilisation and tolerance.
My first session
I offer a free 30-minute telephone consultation, during this time we can explore what's brought you to therapy and what you need from the therapy process. I will share how I can support you and how we can work together. After this initial free session there is no obligation to continue therapy with me, it's important that you find the right therapist for you. please reach out to me if you would like to discuss your therapy needs.
