About me and my therapy practice
I hold a Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling from Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC) and am a registered member of BACP. I offer one-to-one counselling for adults in Bath.
I offer a supportive and confidential space, where we can explore together what matters to you.
You may wish to try counselling because it feels like you’ve lost touch with who you really are and your direction in life. There may be things you’re struggling to come to terms with, or unwanted feelings that are holding you back. You may be going through a difficult period of change, or keep coming up against the same problems.
Counselling is a journey that we navigate together, not a fixed set of steps you have to follow. It is unique to you and we go at your pace.
Practice description
I offer in-person sessions in central Bath on Thursdays and Fridays.
I welcome adult clients of all backgrounds and have experience of working with clients facing a range of difficulties, including low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, isolation, bereavement, relationship issues and chronic health issues. I work short-term or long-term, depending on what best suits your needs.
I draw on a range of approaches and resources, as no single approach works for everyone. I have a particular interest in exploring how we each individually encounter fundamental aspects of life such as choice, loss, relationship and the search for meaning. I welcome you bringing images, dreams or creative practice into our sessions.
In a world that can feel distracting and demanding, making space to reflect, notice and look at things differently, where you are deeply listened to, without judgement, can open up possibilities for change.
My first session
I offer an initial 50-minute session at a reduced rate, with no obligation, so that we can decide whether to work together.
This initial session is an opportunity for you to experience how I work as a counsellor and whether that's right for you. I will also ask you about your needs and circumstances, to better understand what you're looking for from counselling and whether I can help.
