About me and my therapy practice
I’m Lucy, an Integrative Psychotherapist providing a compassionate and empathetic approach. I believe each of us has the capacity to experience the fullness of oneself; to be understood, heal, and feel truly accepted. It is a privilege for me to support you through this process.
I see each person as having their own unique lived experience. You are your own expert with the choice to share what feels comfortable and right for you at the time. I have a holistic approach, taking into account your emotional, mental and physical needs, integrating the therapeutic knowledge that best fits for you. We can work in the ‘here-and-now’ and the past, seeing how one fits into the other, learning and exploring, working towards accepting and integrating.
My qualifications -
As an integrative therapist my training allows me to draw on knowledge and research across several modalities, namely Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and Existential. I work in a relational way, which means I value the therapeutic relationship as being a place to facilitate and experience how we relate to ourselves and others.

Practice description
I provide a space that is built on trust, respect and equality and these are the foundations of exploration. It is a confidential place free from judgment, welcoming you to come as you are, with all parts of yourself. Our therapy relationship can be a ‘facilitative’ space for us to work together, it has the potential to cultivate a life that no longer feels a solitary survival, and may begin a return to yourself. With the right conditions, I believe we all have the potential to thrive and grow, becoming our chosen authentic self.
Therapy and counselling can be an experience where you:
feel supported and build resilience
learn about yourself and your relationships
validate your past and present
experience emotional regulation and attunement
It can also be a place where you work through the difficulties and resistance that may have held you back to date, it can feel uncomfortable at times as you work towards letting go of coping mechanisms and strategies that no longer serve you. Through the process you may find the understanding, skills and compassion that supports your true authentic self.
There may be a number of reasons you come to therapy, they may include distress, fear, vulnerability, depression, confusion and loneliness. You may also choose to come to therapy to explore your sense of self, who you are and where you want to be. It is important that you choose and feel the right therapist for you, I would suggest an initial conversation for you to explore this and offer 30 mins to do so.
My first session
I invite you to an intial conversation where you can explore if it feels the 'right fit' for you to begin to build a therapeutic relationship. This would be 30 mins and is offered either online or via telephone at no cost.
