Availability

As a therapist that now works from home full time, I am available most hours Monday to Friday during the daytime and evenings and I am also willing to work at the weekends if this suits clients. I am happy to be flexible and work with yourselves to agree times and days that are suitable as I understand that lives can be busy so I try to be aware of this and work in a way that can hopefully suit everyone.

About me and my therapy practice

I have been working in the mental health sector for over 10 years now and prior to this I was a Manager within the creative arts so my aim is to combine this experience to offer an holistic and calming approach to my clients so that you feel safe and supported. My main aim is to make sure that I listen and give time to enable clients to unravel what is troubling them and to work towards a positive outcome together.

I am a professional psychotherapist that delivers an integrative approach to therapy which means that my practice is person centred, so that you come first, and I combine this with my knowledge of meditation, relaxation, mindfulness and reiki so that I support my clients both physically and mentally.

I have experience in working with past trauma, grief, anxiety and depression, whether this is linked to physical or mental health and work with clients face to face, online and by telephone.

Practice description

I work from home, where I can offer two relaxing spaces for therapy. One is a lounge area that is warm and inviting and the other is an outdoor cabin that is used for counselling and has enough space for reiki and relaxation.

Both spaces are used in a way to make sure that my clients feel listened to, alongside my aim to build a good and trusting therapeutic relationship to get the best out of the time we have whilst working together.

My first session

My first session would be getting to know you and making sure that you are comfortable. This session would of course be an opportunity for you to get to know me also. I would spend time discussing what you need from therapy (if you know at that stage) and also loosely plan ways in which we could work together so that you are able to develop coping skills in order to increase your self awareness and gradually become more positive.

We would fill out required forms, a contract of agreement and personal details as required.

I am a member of the BACP, therefore I adhere to their ethical guidelines and I am fully insured.

The sessions would be confidential and I would treat my clients with respect and care.

My aim would be for my client to feel comfortable and safe and wanting to return for future sessions.
