About me and my therapy practice
You’re ready to make a change but feel stuck and need a helping hand.
I help adults manage anxiety and navigate grief, loss, or life changes.
You want to make a change, or maybe you have had one forced upon you. Either way, you know you don’t want to keep feeling the way you do, and that’s why you’re here. I know how it feels; I’ve been there myself, and I think you are really brave for being here.
Life can be complicated and hard to navigate. You see everyone else living their lives and just want to do the same, but something is holding you back. You are ready to start making a change, and I am here to help guide you through it whether that be a loss of a relationship, divorce, career change, death of a loved one, becoming a parent, and struggling with the change, for example. We can suffer with grief, loss, and change throughout our life in many ways, and this can make us feel ungrounded, unconnected to people we once knew, and unconnected to parts of ourselves.
As an experienced therapist, I can help untangle all of your overwhelming emotions so you understand yourself better and start to make the choices and decisions that are right for you. You don’t have to continue feeling broken and scared, and you don’t have to do it alone.
Life doesn’t come with a guidebook, and sometimes it’s hard to know how to live.
Whether it be anxiety, loss, or life changes, I am here to walk alongside you as you navigate away from feeling “stuck” and begin to live a more fulfilling and happy life.
Practice description
If you would like to have counselling sessions with me either online or in person, the first step is to reach out by booking an introductory call
This will give you an opportunity to tell me about your current difficulties and to ask me any questions which you might have about how I work and what to expect from our sessions. It’s then very much up to you to decide whether you would like to book further sessions.
My first session
My approach to therapy is a collaborative process in which I try to immerse myself in your experience and world to gain a better understanding of how it is for you. I then work to support, question, guide, and when necessary, challenge your views so you can come to understand why you feel and act the way you do.
Helping you to understand yourself gives you the power to change your life by making decisions and choices that are right for you.
I accept Bupa and Axa clients who have authorisation from their private healthcare provider.
I am a fully accredited psychotherapist with the UKCP and hold BACP membership.

Practice description
Why start therapy?
What would I say to someone starting therapy? That it will improve your life in ways that you never thought it could. That it will allow you to visit the messy bits you've been trying to hide for all those years. That it's an incredibly brave thing to do, turning up, allowing yourself to be vulnerable. That future you will be SO PROUD of you for doing the work. That it will teach you incredible new skills such as resilience, self-compassion, clarity, courage, and the biggie: learning to sit with discomfort, grief, sadness, and allowing yourself to FEEL IT ALL but still be ok.
My first session
Our first session is really an opportunity to meet me and see how you feel. A therapeutic connection is where the work happens, and for me, it is really important that my clients feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed. In our first therapy session, you will get a sense of my style, the way I talk and communicate.
I like to ask a lot of questions, as it is important for me to get to know you, which includes your family, place of birth, and cultural, spiritual and social beliefs. I will also ask you about your goals, hopes for therapy, and any past therapy experiences. It is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions that you may need answered about the process.
Then, together, we can work out a way to move forward and what you want to tackle.
I will also explain to you the framework in which I work, which is weekly 50 minute sessions, and my 48 hour cancellation policy.
I understand starting therapy can be really scary and make you feel nervous, but hopefully as we start talking, those fears will fade away.
I accept Bupa and Axa clients who have authorisation from their private healthcare provider.
I am a fully accredited psychotherapist with the UKCP and hold BACP membership.
