About me and my therapy practice
I offer a safe, empathetic, confidential space where you can explore any issues which are troubling you. I can help with a range of problems, including anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, anger, depression, self-destructive behaviours, abuse, relationship issues and loss. Reaching out can feel uncomfortable, and takes courage, yet in doing so can be the start of a journey to living a more fulfilled life and understanding your thoughts, feelings, and past experiences better. Therapeutic Counselling can help bring personal awareness and balance to your life going forward and I strive to create a relationship where you can feel understood and comfortable to talk about painful issues, allowing you to work through any difficulties so that you may find solutions that are right for your personal growth.
I am also an experienced Bereavement Counsellor. Grief and loss can lead to a range of overwhelming emotions, including feelings of sadness, denial, anger, anxiety, loneliness, and fatigue. The closer the relationship the more difficult it may be to adapt after the loss, be it a loved one, a pet, a job, a way of life, youth, health, or culture. I support people during this painful period in their lives and work through the feelings of the loss or grief. It is normal to experience a range of emotions but there’s no right or wrong way to grieve. Death can also challenge fundamental beliefs and I can accompany people adjusting to life without their loved one or after a life event loss, including understanding the mourning process and beliefs around illness and mortality.
