About me and my therapy practice
Thank you for taking the time to consider my practice.
My name is Chris and I am an Integrative Therapist offering short and long-term therapy for individual adults.
I believe our mental health and well being are the most important aspects of our lives.
It can be a struggle as we try to balance home and work life, maintain healthy relationships, feel good about ourselves or just get through the day. Sometimes the past has a grip on us so we are unable to find peace or lasting happiness. Talking to someone and beginning to make sense of what we are feeling and how we arrived here can be the start of positive change and a path forward.
I have spent many years volunteering for well known charities providing emotional support for people in crisis and/or also struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, stress, trauma, abusive relationships and loss. I am frequently asked if I can continue to provide my services outside of this volunteering work, as the support or the number of sessions is often time limited. This is what I have set out to do and is the reason I am here.
We are all unique as is the support that we need. Therapy can be challenging but it might be the most important journey you embark on.
Practice description
I am offering individual Adult therapy both in-person or online (Individual therapy only) using the internet platform Google Meetings - I can offer you guidance if this is unfamiliar to you.
Sessions usually take place on a weekly basis, at the same time and on the same day each week.
I offer both short and long-term therapy with regular reviews.
At the beginning, I will ask you to sign a working agreement which we will negotiate together. This will offer clarity around aspects of confidentiality, fees and expectations in addition to my privacy policy.
My first session
After your initial email enquiry from here, or direct from my website, I offer a free 30 minute consultation on the telephone or via a video link.
This provides you with the opportunity to ask any questions you have, get a sense of me and decide whether you think we can work well together.
The first paid session will include a full assessment to ensure I have all the necessary information to work with you in an optimal way. In turn, this aids in creating the most desirable outcome for you. If, at this point, it becomes apparent you need something I cannot offer, I will help find what you need.
What I can help with
Abuse, Anger management, Anxiety, Bereavement, Child related issues, Depression, Identity issues, Loss, Men's issues, Mood disorder, Post-traumatic stress, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Stress, Trauma, Work related issues
