About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I am a BACP registered Counsellor. I have a private practice in Maidstone which offers face-to-face, online and telephone counselling.

I help clients with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, family and relationship difficulties, men’s issues, bereavement, work issues, including burnout, and existential worries about purpose and meaning in life.

I also work at a local hospice providing counselling for the bereaved and for people suffering from life-limiting illnesses.

Loss can touch us in so many ways: not only the grief at the death of a loved one, but also a deterioration in our health, the loss of a relationship or a marriage, or a job, or a way of living. Perhaps it's the loss of a future that is no longer possible?

When we lose something precious it is easy to feel that no one else gets it, no one else understands what we are going through. That’s when it can help to have someone listen to us and understand us, without judgement.

Counselling provides a private and confidential space for support and for identifying and exploring difficult thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

Counselling can also be a journey of great discovery as we find new ways to approach our lives: “There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so” (Hamlet)

My Way of Working

I am an integrative Counsellor which means I make use of different theories to support clients. These all have something to offer, but the most important aspect of counselling is the rapport between client and Counsellor. That’s why it is important to make sure you feel happy with your choice of Counsellor before continuing.

I offer individual counselling to adults of all ages, in both short and long term therapy. In our sessions, you will have the space and time to try and make sense of yourself and your relationships. Our sessions will be confidential and non-judgmental.

We all have a unique story to tell. I offer you a safe place to tell your story and to be heard.
