About me and my therapy practice
Human lives include many challenges and most people struggle from time to time with many people experiencing life events or ongoing situations and circumstances which mean they find it hard to cope. If this is you, you're not alone and you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. I believe in the power of empathy and understanding and I am passionate about providing a safe compassionate space where clients can begin to find the courage to break the sense of isolation that can surround those suffering emotionally.
My approach is centred around you and your experiences. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgemental and supportive space where you can, through exploring your deeply held emotions, develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships. Ultimately building a sense of self-worth and feeling empowered to take steps towards positive change.
Practice description
As a person-centred therapist I hold you at the centre of the therapy – your feelings, thoughts, and experiences. Many different life events and experiences can affect a how a person feels about themselves and impact on their sense of self-worth, self-reliance and ability to function. Our sessions will be a safe space where you can freely explore these feelings without fear of judgement or criticism. I will work collaboratively with you so you can make sense of your different emotions and find your way forward. My aim is to support you in developing trust in yourself to find your own solutions and make the positive changes in your life based on your own values and aspirations.
I hold a first class honours degree in Person-centred Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Warwick and beyond my degree I have training and experience in many areas of emotional distress, including relationship issues, OCD, anxiety, depression, bereavement, self-esteem and relationship issues. Pregnancy related issues including miscarriage, baby loss, abortion and infertility.
Much of my therapeutic experience has involved working with pregnancy related issues such as miscarriage, baby loss, infertility and abortion and I continue to work for a local charity providing counselling support to adults and young people in distress throughout Warwickshire
