About me and my therapy practice

I am a Humanistic Counsellor, having qualified at the Metanoia Institute in London. The style of therapy I offer is relational, warm, and uses the three elements of Humanistic therapy; person centred, gestalt, and transactional analysis.

Having worked for many years in Social Work, including as a supervisor and team manager, I am experienced in supporting people with disabilities, age related issues, and workplace stress. I have also provided counselling with a focus on loss and grief for Ealing’s Bereft Bereavement Support service.

As a qualified workplace mediator, I understand the tensions and pressures that can build up within relationships, and I enable people to come together to resolve conflict. My coaching training has also complimented my motivational skills.

My ethnic heritage is Irish, and am committed to the promotion of diversity and compassionate acceptance. I am a musician and have insight into the highs and lows of performing and being expressive. I am passionate about creativity, community and individuality.

I take confidentiality seriously and my practice is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office.

Practice description

Sharing and talking through your experiences may help understand and process your feelings, which in turn may lead to you making good decisions in your life.

I believe therapy is not “one size fits all”. This applies to your individual circumstances, your aspirations, your culture, and your needs. That said, the service I provide will be consistent, reliable, and in keeping with the Humanistic approach.

We can arrange your therapy in a way that suits you; I have an accessible therapy room, or we can meet on-line. Alternatively, by working outside (ie in parks), the benefits of nature can be incorporated into our sessions. It can also vary between these options. We can consider this as we go along.
