Hi I am Lucy, I am an experienced counsellor working with a range of clients, from different backgrounds, and neurodiverse individuals, experiencing relationship issues, depression, anxiety, bereavement, loss, trauma and ADHD.

Our need for connection is paramount. It’s not unusual, to feel sad, or unable to cope. Speaking with someone experienced, can really help. Maybe you are noticing, you, or a loved one have began to avoid the things they once enjoyed, or have noticed, a change in  mood, or seem to feel lost,I can help you.

I have 10 years of experience, working with individual clients, couples, adolescents and families! I provide a safe and confidential space for you to explore whatever issues you or loved one is facing.

I am a naturally, warm and friendly therapist, who considers themselves understanding and has an empathic nature. I am passionate about helping my clients feel heard and to help them lead a more fulfilled life. If you like the sound of my profile, feel free to message me and we can arrange a suitable appointment for a free 10 minute consultation.

About me and my therapy practice

I have nearly 10 years of experience, working with clients of all ages, working and managing Anxiety, Depression, family conflict, Adhd, loss and bereavement.

Many young adults and teenagers, have noticed their anxiety levels have increased and have unrealistic views, due to the power of social media. Some are more susceptible, to low self esteem, anxiety and depression which if left untreated, can lead them to seek out unhealthy ways of coping.I offer clients a supportive, non judgemental environment supporting you in a way that fits with your needs.

From the beginning, I will help you identify what is important for you to achieve and together, we can explore the ways in which you feel able to achieve this, without feeling like you're burdening others. Talking to someone outside your family removes the risk of negative judgment and a sense of freedom to feel accepted and validated, which are the values that I place at the core of my work.

I have experience of both long and short term.

Practice description

I work integretatively with a mixture of modules but the one I am mostly drawn to, is psychodynamic therapy which offers the client to lead the session.Together we look at how past experiences impact your behaviours and patterns of relating to others. I can help you become familiar with your unconscious patterns and look at defence mechanisms and attachment styles, which were developed from your experiences, with your primary carer growing up. My aim is to help you understand how these experiences have shaped you.

I believe in the person centred approach, that all clients, have the ability to find their own solutions. I believe given the right environment, all clients can begin to learn to trust in themselves and overcome their fears, provided they are supported in an empathic manner.
