About me and my therapy practice

What would it be like to be supported in recovering from difficult past experiences? What if you could develop healthy boundaries and improve your relationships? What would it be like to lessen the overwhelm, or quiet the part of you that feels panicked or anxious?

I work with adults struggling with different aspects of their lives and offer a calm and confidential space where you can feel safe, supported and understood – even when your life is at its most difficult.

Hello, my name is Kerry.

I'm an experienced Integrative Psychotherapist offering in-person and online psychological therapy for adults (18+ years). Whether you have a specific problem, such as relationship or work difficulties, loss, personal trauma, a big decision to make or are feeling sad, stressed or worried, my holistic and integrative approach to therapy can help.

With over 11 years of clinical expertise, my aim as a therapist is for us to explore and make sense of what lies behind your current difficulties - to open up the possibilities for change. I understand it can be hard to share difficult, painful, or embarrassing things. And I want to acknowledge the anxiety that can arise when deciding to ask for support. Whatever your reasons are for seeking out help, please know they are valid.

One of the most important things when looking for a therapist is to find someone you feel comfortable with, can relate to, and feel supported by. I work with individuals, offering both short-term counselling and longer-term therapy, depending on what you are looking for from our work together. Together, we can explore the issues that are troubling you and find a better way forward. Please look at my website to get more information about me and my practice.

Practice description

Therapy with me is a collaborative and intuitive process. We begin by exploring what’s brought you here—perhaps a specific difficulty, or a more general sense that something in your life doesn’t feel right. Whether you come with clear words or only a vague feeling, there’s no ‘right’ way to begin.

You might want to reflect on past events, focus on what’s happening in the present, or move fluidly between the two. For many of those with whom I work, sessions tend to involve a combination of these activities. Above all, I offer a space where you don’t need to perform, explain, or be ‘okay.’ A space where what’s messy, uncertain, or painful can finally be brought into the light.

Areas I support

I work with people navigating a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges— from the quietly painful to the profoundly life-altering. Over the years, I’ve worked with people from all walks of life, each carrying their own story, their own ache, their own hope for something better. While no two journeys are the same, there are certain themes I successfully work with often—experiences that tend to touch us all at different points in life.

These include -

  • Overwhelm, stress, and burnout
  • Anxiety, panic, and persistent worrying
  • Low self-worth or inner criticism
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Trauma and post-traumatic stress
  • Grief, bereavement, and ambiguous loss
  • Challenges linked to childhood or family history
  • Loneliness or a sense of disconnection
  • Life transitions, decision-making, or identity shifts
  • Depression or emotional flatness
  • Shame and guilt
  • Sexual concerns and intimacy challenges
  • Living with physical health conditions such as ME/CFS or Long Covid
  • A search for meaning, purpose, or a deeper sense of self

What to do next

If you’d like to enquire further, please get in touch to request your free 15-minute Introductory call. You can then see how comfortable you feel with me. I do prefer to talk to you directly before arranging your first 50-minute appointment (also known as a ‘Consultation’) as this can give you a sense of me before we meet.

To contact me, you can email me or send me your enquiry using the ‘Contact Me’ page on my website. If you prefer to call, and I’m not available when you ring me, do leave me a voicemail so that I can get back to you.

I realise it can feel nerve-wracking to take the next step, but please feel assured that I am warm, non-judgmental and down-to-earth - and will listen to whatever you choose to share with me with warmth, interest and care.
