About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Liza (she/her) and I’m a level 7 qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist.
I work in a person-centred way, meaning that I will fully support you in figuring out what’s going on, in a way that suits you best.
This might sound obvious but it means, you, the client, will always be at the heart of the therapy and will retain a voice over the direction your counselling takes as we begin, or pick back up.
The therapy I provide is private and confidential, and I will listen, I mean REALLY listen.
Choosing a therapist is daunting and let’s not pretend that a photo of the person you are considering engaging isn’t a major factor!
Will they be kind enough/old enough/experienced enough? Can they hold your problems/pain/confusion? Can you trust them, and will they like you? These are all valid questions yet rarely figured out through a photo alone.
But you’ve taken that difficult first step of deciding you need to reach out to a professional for help.
Now you need to carefully choose a person with the correct skills and knowledge to help you tackle the issues that are troubling you.
Take that next step with me and let’s start exactly from where you are now and we can navigate through your problems together.
I’m northern and straightforward, thoughtful and compassionate. I will explain the process clearly and I won’t complicate the process with academic speak and jargon from textbooks.
Call for a natter and let’s see if we can work together to figure out what you need, this introductory call is free and gives you a chance to decide if you would like to arrange an in-person session.
I’m looking forward to meeting you.
