I tend to work term time as much of my work is with teenagers, and parents of teenagers working through history. Appointments are during the daytime on Mondays and Tuesdays, either face-to-face or over Zoom. Greater flexibility may be available for single-session work.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer counselling/psychotherapy alongside mediation, coaching, facilitation, training and consultancy to individuals and organisations in a range of sectors.
I work with adults and young people, individuals and groups, to manage change, resolve conflict, value difference, explore motivation and maximise potential.
If you are exploring the things which help you and hold you back, struggling in your current situation, or aware that something needs to change in your life, I would be happy to work with you.
I tailor my approach to your needs and capacity, working at relational depth or taking a more mindfulness-based approach and using coaching techniques to encourage self-awareness and the ability to choose your own path. I am trained in trauma-informed approaches if that is something you need.
Practice description
I offer single session, long- or short-term work and have specialist practice group interests in working with teenagers and their parents, and coaching. I offer sessions either face-to-face or over Zoom. I am trained in trauma-informed approaches if that is something you need.
I have worked as a School Counsellor in a large secondary school in outer London and for a charity providing bereavement support and counselling for people at risk of suicide. I have taught counselling for a group of adult education colleges.
I now also work as School Counsellor with 13-19 year-olds with Special Educational Needs and facilitate management and leadership programmes for nationally-recognised apprenticeship qualifications at levels 3, 5 and 7. I am an accredited interpersonal mediator.
I am fully insured to practice, GDPR compliant (ICO registered), and hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service.
My first session
For individuals seeking counselling, I offer 15 minutes free over the telephone at a pre-arranged time so you can decide whether you would like to work with me. Then if you would like to proceed, we can arrange an initial 50-minute session costing £95. After that, if you would like to go ahead, we book 50-minute sessions in blocks of 4 or 6, with a review at the end of each block to decide whether to book another. Sessions are at the same time and day each week and cost £70 each. Each block is payable in advance, so £280 for 4 or £420 for 6. Sessions are available either remotely over Zoom or face-to-face at my home studio, near Basingstoke. There is free parking nearby.
Different rates apply for single-session work, groups, coaching and corporate work.
