About me and my therapy practice

Hi, my name is David and I am a counsellor/psychotherapist who offers a safe, non-judgemental space to work on whatever it is that is troubling you.

However big or small your problems may seem, you deserve to be listened to, and talking to somebody who is outside of your social and family circle can be an effective way of exploring your thoughts and feelings without any worries about judgement, confidentiality or wasting people's time.

I am a BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist (MBACP) with specific training in humanistic counselling and CBT. I have worked as a therapist within the NHS and currently split my time between online private practice and volunteering as a counsellor at Mind. These roles have given me experience of working with a wide range of clients, with many different issues. If you would like to learn more about me and how I work, please feel free to visit my website.

I have extensive experience of working with anxiety and depression, as well as issues around addiction, self-esteem and shame. I am 12-step literate and also maintain a daily mindfulness practice that I can use as part of our work if it is an area that you are interested in.

If you're considering therapy, or if you have any questions, please contact me and I'll be happy to discuss them with you prior to your first appointment.
