About me and my therapy practice
Hello and warm welcome to my page. You are probably here because you are finding some aspects of life challenging. First of all, let's take a moment to honor that loving part in you which is pulling you towards healing by bringing you to reach out for help. I am passionate about my work as a psychotherapist and I would be delighted to help and walk alongside you on this transformative journey of self-discovery and growth.
My therapy room is a safe and non-judgmental space where my clients are met with warmth, openness and compassion. I facilitate my client’s journey into uncovering their true self and transcending their difficulties by gaining a new and more meaningful perspective of their life story. I help my clients to step towards discovery and fulfillment of their potential, by helping them align their lives with their soul nature and heart desires.
The transpersonal integrative school of psychotherapy is at the core of my practice. The idea that there is much more meaning and depth to existence than the eye can see, and than our minds can comprehend. I carry the optimistic and positive attitude of the transpersonal approach into my practice, trusting that a higher purpose, an invitation for growth can be identified even in the midst of the darkest most painful experiences of life. The belief that symptoms are symbols, looking at pain with curiosity, and wondering what particular quality or change this particular challenge or even life crisis is calling forth in my client.
Making an attuned connection to my client, I seek to provide an accurate mirroring of their mental, physical, emotional and spiritual needs and wants. I attend and work with client’s body, mind, and spirit treating them as inseparable aspects of their being. This in turn fosters the client’s sense of wholeness and integration.
Practice description
The belief that each person is as unique as their finger-prints is central to my practice. I work with my clients to help them discover their own individual inner and outer beauty and retrieve that special unique calling of their soul that they were born with. The work usually starts with identifying and breaking free from the layers of conditioning that are veiling their real, authentic self. Holding a genuine love and interest in the soul sitting behind the layers of wounding, and scripts, I facilitate a process of truce and becoming at peace with self. This will gradually establish a more secure, solid, accepting base within the client from which they are able to explore and enhance their connection to others.
Creativity is at the core of my therapy work. I specially enjoy working with dreams, drawing, facilitating imagery through body work, creative imagination, and expressions through breath and sound. These interventions work as a bridge to bypass the limitations of the mind, opening up to infinite possibilities held in the realm of imagery and symbolism. The awareness and clarity gained by these creative mediums are integral to the process of psycho-spiritual healing and transformation.
Above all, I work in a relational way. In my view, the foundation and most essential ingredient for any therapeutic work is the trusting alliance and connection between myself and my clients. This trust and ease in relationship is attained through a consistent experience of my reliability, empathic listening, full presence, and a genuine interest, care and love I hold for my clients. In time, clients come to the empowering realization that they, themselves, are true experts of their life journey as we explore and discover what lies ahead on their path.
I have extended experience working with anxiety, anger management, chronic fatigue, loss of meaning and purpose in life, relationship issues and depression. I have a particular interest in working with co-dependency and addiction.
Areas I help with include:
- addiction
- anxiety
- bereavement
- grief
My first session
I conduct an assessment in the first session. This is an essential part of any therapeutic process. I take my duty of care to clients seriously and a general assessment helps me to decide whether I have the right set of skills to help with client's presenting issues. This will also be an opportunity for both of us to get a sense of one another and to see if we are the right match to embark on this work together.
The length of the first session is like any other session (50 minutes ) and is charged at the same rate. If after the first session, we both decide we are happy to work together, I offer a 6 weeks contract, after which we will review the work and decide if we want to enter into long-term open-ended therapy.
Sessions fees are from £70-£80 depending if the session is face to face or online.
What I can help with
Abuse, Anxiety, Bereavement, Child related issues, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Cultural issues, Depression, Infertility, Loss, Obsessions, Personal development, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Sex-related issues, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Substance Dependency, Women's issues, Work related issues
Types of therapy
Cognitive, Existential, Gestalt, Humanistic, Integrative, Jungian, Psychodynamic, Relational, Transactional analysis, Transpersonal
Clients I work with
Adults, Older adults, Trainees, Young people
How I deliver therapy
