About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Rhianna, I'm a qualified person-centred counsellor, registered with the BACP, with over 3 years experience providing help and support to people from all walks of life.
My counselling style is very person-centred, you will be the focus and I will support you with the issues you bring. I have been described as approachable, caring, considerate and easy to open up to. I hope you find this to be the case. I'm here to help you sort through the things that are difficult right now, and offer you a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgment.
The sessions will be guided by you and your needs. I will support you in meeting your goals. Together we can explore your experiences and feelings so you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself, where you want to go, and who you want to be.
Practice description
I am a qualified person-centred counsellor, with training in psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I believe the most effective way to help is to adapt my approach to each individual to best suit their needs. I pull from all my training to incorporate techniques that will benefit you personally.
I have a breadth of experience working with bereavement, loss, change, depression, anxiety, stress and PTSD. I have a deep understanding of ADHD and can also help support those struggling, especially if you have recently been diagnosed as an adult. However, as we all know, life can be unpredictable and I am happy to work with anything you need to bring as things come and go.
I have a degree in Psychology and have then gone on to do a post-graduate diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Keele University. I have completed courses in CBT, Psychotherapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. In our first session together I will discuss what you want from counselling and what your goals are so that I can best adapt my approach to suit you.
With the cost of living crisis, I am happy to be flexible with my fee for sessions, so please use the £45 price as a guideline, if you need a concession I am happy to discuss this.
My first session
I offer a free consultation session, around 30 minutes, where I will tell you more about myself and how I work.
In our first session together, we will look at your expectations for counselling, your needs and your goals.
