About me and my therapy practice
My approach in life and as a Counsellor is to be absolutely person centred to uniquely support you to make sense of the challenges you are experiencing and find your sense of 'self' again.
I have lived experience of living and working alongside a richly diverse group of people and their families within counselling, social care and education for over 30 years. As well as private practice, I am a High Intensity Counsellor with the NHS Talking Therapies Service (formerly IAPT), specialising in Person Centred Emotion Focused Counselling for Depression & Anxiety and supporting people living with neurodivergence.
Practice description
I offer flexible, bespoke counselling over video or phone or in person between 12-8pm in our therapy rooms in Barnstaple town centre.
My first session
Choosing a therapist is a really personal decision and there is definitely not one size to fit all. It is also a big financial commitment and investment in yourself so I offer an initial 15 minute telephone session for free to enable us to explore what has brought you to counselling and any questions you may have. It is also an opportunity to think about if we are a good match to work together or if there are other therapists/organisations who may be better suited to meet your needs.
