About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative counsellor offering short and long term online counselling, psychotherapy and coaching for adults struggling with anxiety, depression, feeling stuck, relationship issues, trauma and/or needing some space to understand their feelings and thoughts.

Integrative counselling and psychotherapy means that I don't solely subscribe to a specific school of therapy and draw from different approaches, including humanistic and psychodynamic theories. I am also a qualified career coach and use my coaching skills to support my clients.

Practice description

Therapy is an ongoing process and the approach will be adapted depending on your needs. You are the expert of your own life and I share the belief that having a judgement-free and containing space can be a transformative experience and can help you develop your self- awareness and your ability to embrace your authentic self.

I have experience of working with people from a wide range of backgrounds across a range of issues, including:

  • Anxiety, stress and depression
  • Life transitions
  • Grief and loss
  • Narcissistic abuse
  • Sexual abuse and rape
  • Relationship issues
  • Separation and divorce
  • Sexuality
  • Self-esteem & Self-worth
  • Intergenerational Trauma
  • Immigration Trauma
  • Career related challenges
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD)

Alongside my private practice, I work as a counsellor for a rape crisis centre and until recently, I worked for a charity that supports Black and Minoritised women survivors of domestic abuse.

I engage in regular professional training, abide by the BACP's Ethical Framework for the Counselling Profession and attend regular supervision to support my own self-care and ensure I provide an ethical and safe practice for my clients.

My first session

Finding a therapist who you feel comfortable with can be difficult and overwhelming. For that reason, I offer a 15 minute telephone call or a video call via Zoom or Google Meet, so you can see what it's like talking to me and ask me any questions you may have.

This call is free of charge and if you decide to book a first session, I will send you an agreement which outlines some information including payment and cancelation details.

Our first session together will be an opportunity for you to share what brings you to therapy and what you would like to focus on. We can talk about the agreement and I'll answer your questions.

We can also agree together how you would like to work, what your goals are and how long we will be working together. I'll be open to hear your expectations of therapy and we will review how you feel the therapy is going after an agreed number of sessions.
