I am available for enquiries Monday - Friday 9.30am-5pm.

Sessions available Tuesday - Wednesday 9.30am-5.15pm, Thursday - Friday 9.30am - 7pm and Saturday's 10am-2pm.

Sessions are available Online, In Person or by Telephone.

Online:    via Microsoft Teams, Google Meets or WhatsApp Video  (Support will be given in advance to connect to one of these platforms).

In Person (Face-2-Face):    Although my registered office is in Birmingham, sessions take place at offices in Oldbury, West Midlands (opposite Sandwell Council office).  There is a small free car park or there are excellent transport services to nearby Oldbury Interchange from Birmingham, West Bromwich, Walsall, Wolverhampton and Dudley via bus and rail services to Sandwell and Dudley Train Station, with a short walk.

About me and my therapy practice

I am here to help if you are finding it difficult to cope with issues such as anxiety, depression, bereavement, loss, domestic abuse, relationship breakdown or low self-esteem. After making an enquiry a free initial assessment is completed, to ensure therapy is right for you.

Coming into therapy sessions means setting aside an hour of your time to focus on issues of concern to you.  Sessions are confidential and where they take place online or via telephone it is helpful for you to find a safe confidential environment with no distractions or interruptions so you may focus on yourself.

I am able to provide emotional support and therapeutic interventions for a range of issues, working with individuals, couples, young people aged 18yrs-24yrs or families.  This may involve goal setting and working on things that have been very difficult to face.  The model of therapeutic interventions I use are not the same for everyone and so, may be different from one Client to the next, depending on individual need and to support positive outcomes.

I work to BACP ethical guidelines and also ensure that as a therapist I am working to my own values which include being compassionate, showing respect and having integrity at all times.

You will have opportunity as we progress, to have your say about how therapy is working for you and whether our arrangement will be a short or longer term process.  Reviews will take place at various intervals, as therapy continues.

Sessions are one hour in length and usually take place once weekly.  At the end of each session I include a check in with you to ensure you are emotionally safe to leave the session.

Practice description

Are you having difficulties getting through a bereavement or loss, or are you experiencing domestic abuse or violence, low self-esteem, stress or anxiety, having relationship difficulties? 

I am a qualified counsellor of over 10 years, with a background in domestic abuse, managing and supporting front line Staff including providing emotional support to troubled adults and young people.

Difficult times can arise at any time of life and at any age.  Things like bereavement, money worries, relationship breakdown can cause anxiety or stress.  Having a trained Counsellor to talk to about these and any other matters confidentially, can help put things into perspective so you can see the way forward.

With my help you can rebuild your confidence and be empowered to embrace your future.

My first session

Coming into therapy can be quite daunting, whether online, In Person or over the telephone.  Our first session will therefore be around getting to know you and helping you to understand what therapy is about and how to make the most of our sessions. It will also be an opportunity to ask any niggling questions and gain an understanding of the therapeutic process support might include.

You will also be able to explain in more detail your reasons for seeking therapy at this time.
