About me and my therapy practice
Most of the people who are experiencing mental health difficulties are primarily concerned with the wellbeing of others, and do not have time and space for themselves.
Starting therapy is an attempt and an opportunity to look at yourself. This may be an unfamiliar experience, and may create some anxiety, but with the guidance of an experienced professional, it could become an exciting journey.
Please get in touch if you feel ready for it.
I hold a diploma of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and I am a registered member of BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists), bound by its ethical code.
In addition to private practice, I worked as a Counsellor at Highgate Counselling Centre. Before training as a Counsellor, I had worked as an art curator, and writer, so I understand and encourage creativity when working with my clients.
Practice description
It is difficult to predict how long therapy will last. Some focused difficulties are more suitable for short term therapy, which usually last 12 weeks, other difficulties are more suitable for long term therapy. We can discuss which option will suit you best at the initial consultation.
In addition to my face-to-face practice I work with clients online (Zoom).
My first session
I offer an initial consultation interview which lasts 50 minutes. The consultation will provide an opportunity, for us both, to explore your difficulties and decide what is the best way forward and to see if we can work together. If we do agree to continue we would meet once a week for 50 minutes on an agreed day and time.
