About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Joanne and welcome to my profile.
Are you feeling anxious, sad, or overwhelmed? Are you feeling distressed by a particular difficulty? It is normal to feel daunted to even start looking for someone to help you, so taking that step takes courage.
As a qualified integrative counsellor (Minster Centre, London), with a background in nutrition and eating problems within the NHS, I will provide you with the space to explore your difficulties in a supportive, understanding and non-judgmental way. With this joint exploration, there often arises an understanding of the difficulties in a new light which brings relief. This understanding can help you learn new, beneficial ways of responding to life's challenges.
My training is integrative which means I have studied a number of different psychological approaches and aim to draw on them to different degrees depending on you, the individual client. However, I have a special interest in the body and believe that our emotions and life stresses are experienced and held within. As we become more of aware of these sensations and related emotions we can begin to understand the stories that lie underneath these tensions.
If you want to explore your feelings and emotions in a safe, non-judgmental environment, I am here with the expertise and compassion to support you on your journey.
Please use the contact form if you would like to discuss any of this further.
