About me and my therapy practice

I offer both in-person and online counselling, with the aim to create a space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported. My approach is relational and integrative, meaning I focus on understanding and working with the connections between your thoughts, emotions, and bodily experiences.

Often, the challenges we face are shaped by deeply ingrained experiences we may not even be consciously aware of. Therapy that engages with all aspects of your being - cognitive, emotional, and physical - can be a powerful tool for fostering resilience, clarity, and balance.

As a BACP and UKCP accredited Integrative Counsellor and a fully certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapist, I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches. This flexibility allows me to tailor our work to the unique circumstances at hand. My practice is rooted in humanistic philosophies and is trauma-informed, ensuring a compassionate, client-centred foundation.

I believe that growth and healing are natural human tendencies. Rather than positioning myself as an expert on your life, I see therapy as a collaborative journey.

Practice description

At the core of my practice is the belief that the most change tends to happen in relationship with other people and because of internalised experiences of 'overcoming'.

I see therapy as a collaborative space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. At its foundation, my practice serves as a sounding board where you are listened to and given the space to unfold. This experience of being heard with empathy and openness can create the conditions for self-reflection, clarity, and the natural empowering of personal growth.

As a Sensorimotor Psychotherapist and an Integrative Counsellor, my work also draws on a blend of relational, psychodynamic, and body-focused methods. I believe therapy can help us understand how past experiences shape our present, not only through thoughts and emotions but also through the body. Chronic tension, restlessness, or a sense of disconnection can often express what the mind has been unable to process. By attending to the body alongside the mind, we can begin to untangle these patterns, fostering a sense of alignment, trust, and openness.

I have also specialised in supporting individuals navigating the aftermaths of domestic or sexual abuse, adverse childhood experiences, and the emotional impacts of uprooting life events. My professional background includes work within the NHS, group therapy facilitation, and women’s support services, providing me with the tools to explore very varied circumstances and symptoms.

Whether in-person or online, I aim to provide a safe, reflective space where we can work together at your pace. To me, therapy is not about quick fixes; it’s about creating a space to reconnect with yourself, challenge old patterns, and move toward a more balanced, aware, and fulfilling life.

My first session

The first session is a 50-minute initial consultation designed to provide a space for us to explore your reasons for seeking therapy and begin to understand your world, including your unique set of circumstances and cultural background. It’s an opportunity for us to discuss what has brought you to therapy, your hopes and goals, and any questions you may have about the process.

This session offers a chance to consider whether we would be a good therapeutic fit. Whether online or in person, the consultation is offered at a reduced fee of £35 and serves as a starting point for mapping out how therapy can best support you.
