About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative therapist, meaning I put together different styles of working that would best suit your needs.  We are all unique and the same size does not fit all, so it is important that in counselling as well, the modalities and techniques used should be specific to each person.

I offer online and telephone counselling to adults aged 18 years and over.

Please feel free to take a look at my website www.littletentcounselling.co.uk for more information.

Practice description

Life is not always easy, it can bring its share of dark and difficult storms, leaving us to seek out a safe place to shelter as we weather those intense and challenging times.

It may be that you are facing a crossroads in your life, feeling stuck, and overwhelmed, or maybe something has happened to you recently, such as a bereavement, the end of a relationship, or a traumatic experience - or perhaps things have happened to you in the past that you are still struggling to come to terms with.

I aim to be that warm and safe shelter, providing a confidential space where together, we can explore these experiences, and how you feel about them. I aim to listen with empathy and respect and without judgment.

My background is in both general and mental health nursing, and I hold an FdA and BA (Hons) in Integrative Counselling.  I am a qualified and fully insured counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). However, beyond my qualifications and experience, I believe that it is the relationship that we create between us that is imperative to the work we do together.

As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I am committed to the highest professional, moral, and ethical standards in my work. My utmost priority is the safety and well-being of my clients, and I receive ongoing professional supervision to ensure that my work adheres to these standards.

I hold an advanced DBS certificate (Disclosure and Barring Service) and am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) so that you can be assured that I safely store your data.

My first session

When you first make contact, we can arrange an appointment for an initial free 20-minute session. During our first session, we will discuss how it might be to work together, as well as provide you with an opportunity to tell me more about what brought you to counselling.

At the end of this first session, if you decide that you would like further sessions, we can then arrange for this regularly.
