Practice description
It may be you have a specific problem or a general feeling of being 'low'. Perhaps you feel that talking to friends and family isn’t enough - or that you’ll feel judged and therefore you are considering a professional counsellor.
My practice:
I have almost 20 years' experience in working with many different types of issues and can offer you a professional and confidential service in an accessible, comfortable and safe environment. My approach is psychodynamic. This involves us working together to uncover the less conscious aspects of your thoughts, feelings and emotions, so that you can come to understand yourself more fully. This greater insight should help you to make long-lasting changes, so that you can lead a more fulfilled life.
I offer one to one counselling with young people from age 14 and individual adults.
I work:
• with a wide range of issues such as: anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship difficulties, addictions, low self-esteem as well as the many other concerns which may be impacting your quality of life and emotional well-being.
• in an open-ended way for as long as you wish, or in a shorter more focused way , and we can agree what is best for you when we first meet
• Monday to Thursday with evening appointments available.
My first session
if you would like to, we could have an initial telephone conversation to see if my way of working matches what you are looking for. I would then usually suggest that we meet for an initial consultation, to see if on-going weekly sessions would be helpful for you.
