About me and my therapy practice

I am a UK-based therapist with 16 years of professional work experience. I am also an experienced Clinical Supervisor.

I primarily offer Person Centred and CBT, however, my therapeutic approach is tailored to you as an individual.  Whether you're new to therapy or seeking support for challenging emotions, I'm here to support and guide you. Together, we'll explore your thoughts, needs, emotions, aspirations, and personal boundaries. I offer online sessions but can also do telephone sessions if this would be better for you.

A Judgment-Free Zone

How often do you feel truly heard without fear of judgment? I strive to create a safe space where you can be authentically yourself. Here, you can freely explore your innermost thoughts and feelings, knowing they'll be met with complete acceptance. My goal is to see and hear the real you, while helping you connect more deeply with yourself.

Our Unique Journey

Your therapy journey is as unique as you are. Each session is tailored to your current state and needs, and I am led by you as to what you bring into the space each week.

Practice description

I have experience in helping clients, adults, teens and children, with a wide range of issues, and some examples of my experience includes:

Working in a GP practice seeing clients for depression, low mood, anxiety, stress, lack of confidence, eating problems, lack of life direction, divorce, loss, and supporting people with parenting skills.

Working in schools supporting children with everyday worries, exam pressure, and school avoidance. Also supporting parents with parenting skills and how to support their child.

Working in Women's Services supporting families through miscarriage, stillbirth, fertility problems, and termination of pregnancy.

Working in Cancer Connections helping people navigate loss and grief as an individual or as a family.

Supporting victims of crime and people bereaved through murder and manslaughter (trauma).

Helping adult clients navigate their own Childhood Emotional Neglect and helping them to make sense of it, put boundaries in place and move forward in a positive way.

Looking at your own attachment style and how this may impact friendships and relationships.

About me and my therapy practice

About me and my therapy practice

All of my sessions are conducted via Zoom, so I am able to work with clients from anywhere.

Finding the right supervisor is so important, as we share such a connection during the time we spend together.  We have to totally trust in each other, and feel comfortable to share, even when it may feel unnerving.

I have experience of working with children, adolescent and adults, in a school setting, NHS, charity work, BetterHelp, online counselling and Private Practice.

During my supervision sessions I use different models to get the most of our time together, with a particular focus on The Gibbs Reflective Cycle and Carroll's Seven Tasks of Supervision. I completed an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Supervision with Sue Pattison Training Academy.

I offer concessional rates to counselling students.

I aim to offer a warm, safe and non- judgmental space to bring your client work, or any professional aspects of practice you wish to explore.

I aim to work collaboratively with you, in a supportive environment, where we can grow and learn together.

Practice description

I strongly believe that the relationship we develop through supervision is vitally important for your work.  Understanding your relationship with clients, your own triggers and your personal experiences will give greater insight into how you work as a therapist.

This relational connection helps and encourages us to identify areas that may need to be explored.

My first session

I offer a free 15 minute consultation, just to meet me and to see if you feel we would be the right fit for each other.

Following this, we will discuss how you want to structure your sessions, as I have 45 minute sessions, 1 hour, or 1.5 hours.
